The crown jewel of the Four Seasons family of luxury resorts, the Four Seasons Resort Maui, is known for its astonishing events. And last years inaugural Brewhaha had the island hopping. And this Friday, September 28th, from 630pm to 830pm, the Resort will do it again, as it hosts the 2nd Annual Brewhaha.
Getting right to the point, if you love fine beer and are open to experiencing some of the best brews in the world in a locale that out of a picture-perfect postcard, then this event is for you.
The theme this year is a competition between the West – Germany (every beer drinker’s Utopia), Scotland and England – and the East – Japan, Australia and India. The Four Seasons beverage manager, Nick Martin, chose the participants very carefully “It’s not often you get the opportunity to sample 14 craft beers from around the globe,” says Martin.
Executive Chef Roger Stettler, recently honored as Maui Chef of the Year, meticulously coupled each beer with culinary selections from its respective nation. Martin added, “This year, the event will be more interactive; the crowd will be voting on which region they prefer. It’ll be interesting to see which side comes out on top.”
Featured beers include (but may be subject to change): Scotland’s Belhavent Scottish Ale, Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse, Belgium’s Lindemans Framboise, England’s Well’s Banana Bread, and many others.
