On the evening of October 12, the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual business fest, featuring OHA Maui Trustee candidates, the development team for Pulehunui (a public/private venture in Central Maui) and perhaps most importantly a panel of successful Maui entrepreneurs from which to draw inspiration
Commencing at 6 a.m. with a ho’okupu ceremony at the permanent Ahu located on the Grand Wailea grounds near the beach, the 6th Hui Holomua Business Fest is quickly becoming a prominent event for business entrepreneurs. The all day event is free and open to the all Maui business people, with a $30 fee for a sit-down luncheon at the Grand Wailea’s Haleakala lunch room.
Among those in attendance will be US Senatorial Candidate (and former Hawaii Governor) Linda Lingle, Hawaii Governor Abercrombie, and Mayor Arakawa. The featured speaker, Ramsay Taum, will discuss and reflect on the fest’s theme: Native Hawaiian Values Are Good Business Values.
