Wailea Wine and Food Festival Winner Announced

The inaugural Waiea Art Food and Wine Festival has announced the winner of the competition and the official artist for the festival: Maui’s Taryn Alessandro. As a Connecticut native who has been classically trained and received her Bachelor of Arts from Boston University, Taryn brings a different perspective to her art on Maui. The four day event, scheduled to take place December 6th through the 9th, will feature Taryn’s winning entry in its banners to be placed throughout the Wailea resort. In what has become a favorite event in Wailea, the ‘Life is Sweet’ culinary celebration by BestBuddiesHawaii.org turned out to be a magical afternoon. The third annual event pitted dessert masters from various Wailea establishments, including Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, Grand Wailea, Mulligan’s on the Blue, Fairmont Kea Lani, Gannon’s Pacific, Longhi’s Wailea; Tommy Bahama’s, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and  Monkeypod Kitchen.
